Fund Set Up For Youngster Critically Injured in Hit & Run

April 30 2013 – Altura Credit Union has set up a fund to help a local family deal with medical expenses for their young daughter who was critically injured in a hit and run crash last week in Riverside. The family of Carlie Rodriquez set up the account last week for the little girl who turned 5 on Friday. She has been in a medically induced coma since the crash on Monday, April 22. According to Riverside Police, Carlie was injured when her family’s car was broadsided by a suspected street racer who fled the scene following the crash on Magnolia Avenue near Nelson Street at about 2 p.m. The child was rushed to Loma Linda University Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
